

Eugene I. Tsimerinov, MD, PhD is Co-Director of the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Program and Assistant Director of the Neurophysiology Laboratory. He is also a researcher and attending physician with the Department of Neurology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Tsimerinov's primary clinical and research interests include epilepsy, neurophysiology, neuromuscular and neuro-vestibular disorders. His current research project involves magnetoencephalographic study (MEG), seizures, and resective epilepsy surgery outcomes.
In 1979 Dr. Tsimerinov received the Gold Tag award from the Russian Federation for "outstanding studies in medicine and excellent achievements in student research." In 2005 he received the American Academy of Neurology scholarship and the Top Fellow Scholarship from the American Epilepsy Association.
He has published numerous scientific articles, and also holds the authorized patent for the surgical "Method of Treatment of Bilateral Chronic Frontal Sinusitis." He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology and the Russian Society of Otolaryngologists.
Dr. Tsimerinov speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian. He received his medical degree from Kemerovo State Medical Institute and his postdoctoral degree from the Moscow Ear, Throat and Nose Scientific Research Institute. He completed an internship at the University of Minnesota and a neurology residency at Loma Linda University. He then fulfilled a neurophysiology fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and UCLA.
