Denise Piastrelli is the Injury Prevention, Performance Improvement Coordinator, and Trauma Registrar at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Ms. Piastrelli has been active in critical care as a clinician and as an educator. She served as a Critical Care Clinical Educator responsible for staff development and nurses training in the area of critical care. She has been involved in quality improvement projects, including a poster presentation on hemostasis management at the National Teaching Institute in New Orleans. She has implemented injury prevention activities in collaboration with different agencies and disciplines that play important roles in preventing injuries.
She is a member of the Society of Trauma Nurses and the Emergency Nurses Association as well as the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She is certified in the Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) course and as a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
