Meeta D. Sabnis, MD
Lead Hospitalist, Inpatient Specialty Program
Meeta D. Sabnis, MD is the Lead Hospitalist in the Inpatient Specialty Program and one of the co-founders of the Hospitalist Service at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Sabnis is board certified in internal medicine and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.
Dr. Sabnis received her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley and her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2005.
Dr. Sabnis' research interest has been in valvular abnormalities in young athletes. Her undergraduate work focused on molecular and cellular biology with an emphasis on cell and development biology. She has co-authored articles for peer-reviewed publications including Circulation and the Journal of Echocardiography.
As a Hospitalist, Dr. Sabnis continues to pursue performance improvement and clinical projects related to the optimal delivery of inpatient medical care. She also has been instrumental in designing the medical center's "hand-off" process between primary care physicians and Hospitalists to ensure that relevant clinical information and follow-up needs are properly communicated during a patient's transition in and out of the hospital.
