John D. Carmichael, MD

Attending Physician, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

John D. Carmichael, MD, is an attending physician in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. In addition, he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Carmichael is board certified in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism. His clinical and research interests include the diagnosis and treatment of pituitary disease.

He has written articles for
The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism and Clinical Endocrinology. He is a member of the Endocrine Society and the Pituitary Society.

Dr. Carmichael received his medical degree from The Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his internal medicine residency at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He completed both a clinical endocrinology fellowship and an endocrine research fellowship at the New York University School of Medicine.
