

Daniel S. Berman, MD, FACC is Chief of Cardiac Imaging and Nuclear Cardiology at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center. Board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and nuclear medicine, Dr. Berman is also a professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Dr. Berman is a leader in cardiac imaging research, with many ongoing research projects. He is recognized as one of the principal developers of the techniques and applications of nuclear cardiology. Recent research efforts have included new clinical applications of cardiac CT, MRI, PET, SPECT and the development of automated computer-based methods for assessing the images of these modalities.
Lecturing extensively around the world, he also serves on the national and international committees of numerous professional organizations and editorial boards. In addition, he has written more than 500 original manuscripts, chapters and books. He has served as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Berman is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association's Council on Clinical Cardiology.
Dr. Berman received his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco, and completed residencies in internal medicine and nuclear medicine at University of California, Davis. He also completed a fellowship in cardiology at UC Davis Medical Center.
