Pain is a common symptom in many phases of cancer diagnosis and treatment. The majority of cancer-related pain can and should be effectively managed using a variety of approaches.
Our multidisciplinary Cancer Pain Management Team is another example of the Cedars-Sinai Outpatient Cancer Center's commitment to compassionate, expert, easily accessible, responsive cancer care. The Pain Team provides care 24 hours a day and is dedicated to treating all aspects of a cancer patient's pain. We combine the best in new technologies with our years of cancer pain management experience to provide state-of-the-art care.
In coordination with the primary oncologist, the Pain Team works with you to develop an individualized pain and symptom management plan. The Pain Team consists of licensed professionals in pain management, oncology pain nursing, psychiatry, and social work. Our Pain Team works closely with readily available consulting services including anesthesia pain management, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncturists, and other complimentary therapists.
