Cedars-Sinai provides clinical care, services and health screenings to individuals in need. For example, the COACH for Kids and Their Families mobile medical unit brings no-cost, quality healthcare services to underserved communities.
Cedars-Sinai offers a variety of community health and educational programs, including health fairs, lectures and conferences.
Cedars-Sinai assists patients and community members through information, resources and services. As an example, Teen Line is a confidential help line for teenagers. It is free to the caller and helps teens address suicide, drug abuse, pregnancy, depression and the normal problems of growing up.
Cedars-Sinai's professional development programs offer students considering careers in healthcare opportunities to work in their health field of interest. For instance, students from Fairfax High School participate in the Youth and Employment Development (YED) Mentoring Program.
Cedars-Sinai's Senior Programs strives to assist older members of the community toward a higher quality of life and a greater number of years while enjoying better health. One such program, Lifeline, which provides 24-hour assistance help the elderly, frail, disabled and those individuals at risk and living alone to stay in their homes with the reassurance that help is just a push button away.
Cedars-Sinai offers several support groups, including cancer support groups.
