Jason S. Cohen, MD, FACS

Surgical Oncologist; General and Laparoscopic Surgery

Jason Cohen, MD, FACS is an attending physician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (CSMC), with offices in the Outpatient Cancer Center at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. While Dr. Cohen operates on most cancers, he has clinical expertise in tumors of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, breast, gastrointestinal tract such as the stomach, colon, rectum, anus, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, and bile duct. Dr. Cohen also has interest in nutrition and cancer prevention, and is involved in basic science and clinical research, with an emphasis on the genetic aspects of breast cancer.

Dr. Cohen is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He speaks Hebrew and Spanish.

Dr. Cohen, a native of New York City, received his bachelor's degree with high honors from the State University of New York, Binghamton. He completed his fellowship in surgical oncology at CSMC. Dr. Cohen finished his residency in general surgery and earned his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn.
