
The main objective of this study is to establish a database of information derived from demographic, clinical, outcome data, and scan results from the patients coming to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging (an assessment of blood flow in the vessels of the heart which can indicate coronary artery disease or narrowing of the arteries of the heart). 
The database is used to perform research analyses such as studying how myocardial perfusion SPECT imaging can be used to determine which patients are at higher risk for adverse outcomes (e.g., heart attack) so that physicians can prescribe the best course of treatment.
In addition, the database project allows analyses to be performed in response to advances in the field, such as new technological developments and imaging pharmaceuticals.
Any patient having a stress myocardial perfusion SPECT scan at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center can participate in this study. The goal is to have information from all types of patients (representing all ages, men and women, healthy and very sick patients) so that what we learn from this study can be applied back to all those types of people.
