Randa Alsabeh, MD

Director, Immunopathology; hematopathology, hematology, immunopathology, molecular pathology

Randa Alsabeh, MD is the Director of Immunopathology and Co-Director of Hematology/Hematopathology and Immunology in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Cedars-Sinai. She is also a pathologist at the Cedars-Sinai Thyroid Cancer Center. Dr. Alsabeh is also Associate Clinical Professor of Pathology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, Dr. Alsabeh also has earned certification in both hematopathology and immunopathology. She is an acknowledged expert in the diagnosis of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and Hodgkin lymphoma, as well as an authority in immunopathology. Her research has concentrated on the study of malignant lymphoid lesions and on the clinical applications of immunohistochemical tests.

A member of numerous professional societies, Dr. Alsabeh has published several articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and has contributed to presentations at several national meetings. At Cedars-Sinai, she is an active participant in a number of important departmental committees and is a recipient of the Golden Apple teaching award.

Dr. Alsabeh received her medical degree from Damascus University in Syria. She completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident. She also completed fellowships in hematopathology, immunopathology and surgical pathology at the City of Hope National Medical Center.
