Stephen Lee, MD
Director, Hematology & Hematopathology, Core Laboratory and Emergency Department Lab
Stephen Lee, MD has held several leadership positions since joining the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in 1970. Currently he is the Medical Director of Hematopathology, Core Laboratory and the Emergency Department Lab. His educational duties include being the head of the Hematopathology Fellowship program and the Medical Director of the Clinical Laboratory Scientist and Phlebotomy programs.
Dr. Lee is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical pathology, Hematology and Immunology. He is an active member of numerous professional societies. He has written more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and authored book chapters.
Dr. Lee received his medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. He completed a year of internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai and completed his pathology residency in pathology at UCLA Medical Center and CSMC.
