Outsmarting Brain Tumors: March 4-5, 2005

Free Las Vegas Community Conference on Brain Tumors

The multidisciplinary faculty of the Maxine Dunitz Neurosurgical Institute offered this comprehensive, two-day conference to bring participants up to date on the most recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric brain tumors.

The conference provided educational information to patients and their caregivers about the latest research that has been translated into treatments for brain tumors. It included a discussion of promising therapeutic discoveries for brain tumors, as well as information on other surgical and nonsurgical treatment options available today. Participants had the opportunity to hear about the latest information on the effects of diet and alternative treatments for brain tumors, as well as the emotional aspect of living with this disease.
