The Pediatric Orthopaedics Program of the Cedars-Sinai Orthopaedic Center provides expert care for the full range of pediatric and adolescent bone and joint conditions and diseases, spinal disorders and sports injuries.

Under the direction of Robert Bernstein, MD, Director of Pediatric Orthopaedics, and William Hohl, MD, Associate Director of Pediatric Orthopaedics, expert care is provided by orthopaedic surgeons specializing in the treatment of the growing child and adolescent. Disorders treated and procedures done include:

• Clubfeet
• Scoliosis, including congenital, idiopathic and paralytic (neurological) scoliosis
• Spinal fusion
  
• Instability of the bones of the neck (cervical spine instability)
• Procedures to insert a vertical expandable prosthetic titanium rib (VEPTR)
• Spinal deformities such as kyphosis
• Hip dysplasia
• Hip osteotomies
• Pelvic osteotomies, including Salter, Pemberton, triple and Ganz procedures
• Bone fractures
• Perthes disease
• Correction of differences in leg lengths, including epiphyseodesis, leg lengthening and leg shortening
• Treatment of benign bone tumors, including exostoses, multiple hereditary exostoses, osteoid osteoma, osteoblastoma, simple bone cysts (unicameral) and chondroblastoma
